This gin based tiki drink from Beachbum Berry’s Grog Log was originally featured in Harry Craddock’s legendary 1930 collection The Savoy Cocktail Book during his time as bartender at The Savoy Hotel in London. Which, makes a lot of sense actually considering how foreign gin generally is to the world of Tiki and how prevalent it is on the streets of London.
This drink is quite similar actually to the Carioca Hawaiian Cocktail. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Carioca Rum Company had been flipping through The Savoy Cocktail Book for inspiration when they created their recipe.

1/4 oz orange juice
1/4 pineapple juice
1 1/2 oz gin
